Last days of Summer
To move, to breathe, to fly, to float, to roam the roads of lands remote, to travel is to live.
Hans Christian Andersen
Summer has passed by way to fast this year, just like all the previous ones.
Although I’m a big fan of winter, the falling snow, endless white landscapes and don’t have any particular problems with the cold. But still, when summer ends, I’m becoming a bit melancholic . It’s more the sadness of things I haven’t done, lakes I haven’t swum in, forests I haven’t discovered, missing wearing my summer dresses and those hot nights spent with friends and do BBQ…
All these and a lot more crossing my mind lately, but luckily we can still enjoy a few lovely sunny late summer days.
That’s how we ended up kayaking last Thursday on a bright afternoon, enjoying all the peaceful areas around the islands of Langolmen & Reimersholme. The water was so calm and relaxing, we had nothing else to do than floating, having fun and not thinking of anything else, just the moment.
I wish to do more things like that! More nature, more peaceful moments, more me and us time, far from everything, far from the bullshit and everyday problems. I want to find the real important things, leave out all the rest and enjoy the last days of summer. x
